According to Hubspot, Instagram is the second most accessed network behind Facebook, with over one billion active users who browse for an average of 53 minutes per day. 90% of Instagram user follow at least one business, and 83% of users say Instagram has helped them discover new products and services. As DressMyParty will be focused on image based promotion, and an image led website, Instagram will be an excellent platform that will help the company to humanise content, showcase new products, and inspire our audience.

Sproutsocial estimates that about 60% active users visit the site daily, and 21% say they check it weekly. As a new company, DressMyParty can use Instagram as an excellent platform for brand promotion, as Blogkissmetrics claim that 80% of Instagram users have made a purchase based on something they discovered on the platform.

Optimising an Instagram Account

Content

As Instagram is intended for in-the-moment content., DressMyParty must stay relevant to our target audience, and ensure time and resources are invested to post regularly.

I will ensure to leverage my bio, photos and stories using interesting and varied images and engaging videos, not focusing solely on product promotion,

Consistency in the posting schedule is as important as the quality of content, and I will use Hootsuite to post Instagram Stories as well as Pinterest and Facebook to best manage my Social Media strategy. This will allow me to schedule Stories in advance, and to fine-tune posts on the go using Hootsuite’s mobile app.

Designing Posts

For best design practice, I will use Canva Party Templates ,Photoshop Templates and Snapseed Mobile App . This variety of templates will ensure the use of professional imagery to best represent DressMyParty, create confidence in the target user and most importantly encourage visitor engagement.
