OUR STORY
My name is Heather and I love to party! I am passionate about natural, rustic and enchanting party decorations, a little different from the norm.
I spent some years as an event dresser, decorating window displays, corporate and private themed events such as Santa & the City, Moulin Rouge, Chronicles of Narnia........you name it we did it! I still have fond memories of buying the entire stock of Penney’s clutch handbags, and spraying them silver on my washing line for a Christmas Fashionista theme!
Continental Style Decor
On this journey I found many unusual and quirky decorations from European suppliers, admiring the alternative themes, props and product ranges not often seen in Irish partywear. I loved watching Mums and their little ones “oooing”over giant sunflowers and delicate butterflies in shop windows…and so the seed of DressMyParty.ie was sown!
I’m now so happy to showcase these decorations with my own sense of simple style, with lots of earthy, natural colours and textures with a continental feel. I love to be surrounded by nature, and am constantly on the look out for new ideas and suppliers to expand the collection. When Covid-19 restrictions are finally lifted I will follow my other passion, and travel to Europe again for more inspiration!
Fairy Magic
Inspired as a young girl by a fabulous carved Fairy Tree in Marlay Park, Dublin, I wanted to bring that sense of magic and enchantment to childrens’ homes. A gifted Wexford wood craftsman Colm, brought this idea to life and created a magnificent centrepiece for party rental in the Leinster area. I also have adorable toadstool furniture sets and fairy lit cherry blossom trees for rent, and plan to add lots more!
